Fuheis

The largely Christian town of Fuheis is located 15km northwest of Amman, the capital. The city enjoys great scenery over the northern mountains and over the valley below.

The town of Fuheis was inhabited around 2000 years BC, and still holds some historical value in the Catholic and Orthodox churches that are scattered across the town, and today, holds great significance in the largely christian community that constitute the 85-90% of its population.

Fuheis is known for cultivating fruits, but for a traveler, the true value remains with the charm of the local community and cultural christian heritage. The town is also known for some of its restaurants and food that Jordanians as well as foreigners like to enjoy with their local homemade recipes.

The landscape is also filled with shops of all types selling local produce and basic commercial activity.
